Cancellation and Refund Policy
Dream Line Travels bus services
This Cancellation and Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all Bookings made with Dream Line Travels (operated by Dreamlinetravels Pvt Ltd, hereinafter referred to as “the Bus Operator”). It forms an integral part of the Bus Operator's Terms and Conditions of Carriage.
1. Cancellation by the Passenger
Cancellations may be requested through the Bus Operator's website, mobile application, or by contacting customer support. The cancellation charge and refund payable depend on how far in advance of the scheduled departure the cancellation request is received.
Cancellation charges vary by route and service. The exact refund applicable to your Booking — based on time-of-cancellation slabs set by the Bus Operator for that specific route and service class — is printed on your Ticket and is also visible on the Manage Booking page before you confirm a cancellation. The charges shown there prevail over any general guidance on this page.
- As a general rule, cancellations made well in advance of departure receive a higher refund; cancellations made closer to departure attract higher charges; and cancellations after departure or no-shows are not eligible for any refund.
- Refunds are calculated on the base fare paid; convenience fees, payment-gateway charges, and applicable taxes on cancellation charges are non-refundable.
- Where a Booking includes multiple Passengers, partial cancellation is permitted; the refund for the cancelled seat(s) follows the per-seat charges shown on the Ticket.
- No-shows (Passenger fails to board the bus at the Boarding Point by the scheduled departure time) are not eligible for any refund.
- The Ticket cannot be transferred to another Passenger in lieu of cancellation.
2. Cancellation by the Bus Operator
Where a Scheduled Service is cancelled by the Bus Operator (for any reason, including mechanical failure, severe weather, road closure, civil disturbance, government order, or other cause beyond the Bus Operator's reasonable control), the Bus Operator shall, at the Passenger's option:
- arrange an alternative bus to the same destination at the earliest available departure, at no additional cost to the Passenger; or
- refund 100% of the fare paid for the cancelled segment.
The Bus Operator's liability in such circumstances is limited to the choice above and does not extend to consequential losses (missed onward connections, accommodation, etc.).
3. Rescheduling
- Where rescheduling (change of date or service) is permitted on a particular route, the Passenger may reschedule once per Booking, subject to seat availability on the new date and any rescheduling fee published on the Ticket.
- If the fare on the rescheduled date is higher, the Passenger shall pay the difference. If the fare on the rescheduled date is lower, the difference shall not be refunded.
- Once a Booking has been rescheduled, it cannot be further cancelled for a refund. Subsequent cancellation will be treated as a no-show.
- The originally booked Passenger(s) must travel on the rescheduled service; the Ticket remains non-transferable.
4. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are credited to the original payment instrument used for the Booking.
- For UPI / wallet refunds, credit is usually instant once the refund is initiated.
- If a refund is not received within the indicated time, the Passenger should first check with their bank or card issuer with the refund reference number provided by the Bus Operator.
5. How to Cancel a Booking
Cancel through the same channel that issued the Ticket. If the Booking was made through a third-party platform (an online travel agent or aggregator), the cancellation and refund must be raised with that platform — not with the Bus Operator directly. The Ticket names the channel through which the Booking was placed. See clause 7A of the Terms and Conditions of Carriage for details.
For Bookings made directly on https://www.dreamlinebus.in, the Bus Operator accepts cancellation requests through the following channels:
- Online: Open the Manage Booking page on https://www.dreamlinebus.in, locate the Booking, and select “Cancel”.
- By email: Send the Booking reference and reason for cancellation to info@dreamlinetravels.in.
- By phone: Call 9342222241 during Mon-Sun, 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM IST.
- Cancellation is effective only when the Bus Operator acknowledges receipt of the request. Time of receipt is the basis for calculating the cancellation slab applicable to your Ticket.
6. Non-Refundable Items
- Convenience fees, processing charges, and payment-gateway fees collected by third parties.
- Promotional or discounted Tickets explicitly marked “non-refundable” at the time of Booking.
- Tickets where the Passenger has commenced the journey (partial use).
- Tickets cancelled after the scheduled departure time, or where the Passenger was a no-show.
